Modelling Local Mammal Sr Isotopes - A Sr Calculation Tool

All rights reserved. The free use of the scientific content and applications of this excel file (Microsoft Excel 2020) is granted for non-commercial (academic) use only. It is under no circumstances allowed to reproduce, copy or redistribute this tool without written permission by the authors.

This tool computes expectation ranges for local bioavailable 87Sr/86Sr isotopic ratios for large archaeological mammals by use of modern environmental reference data (soil, groundwater, vegetation). The reference below includes all necessary information on the model parameters. Note that the tool has been developed for a specific alpine and pre-alpine region in Central Europe. Application to other regions will necessitate adaptation of the parameters to be entered into the model. The authors of this tool are not responsible for the results obtained in any application by other researchers.
